David Beckham is expected to return to AC Milan again in January to finish out the season in Serie A and get ready for World Cup 2010.
The England international did the same thing last winter but the mood around it was much more negative than it is now.
Part of that might be because Beckham and the Los Angeles Galaxy are in the MLS Cup playoffs and looking like one of three or four teams that could win the MLS title next month.
Tim Leiweke, chief executive of Anschutz Entertainment Group, spoke about the Beckham situation today.
We want to get it done, for him and for us and I don't want any confusion. It's the same with Landon (Donovan). There is a lot of rumors of whether he is staying or going. We're going to clear that up in the next two weeks because we want the team to be focused.
This past year Beckham returned to L.A. with the fans booing him and a book that detailed a not so Hollywood storyline to his time in America.
It's amazing what winning can do.
