Reports earlier this week surfaced that Newcastle United was going to be make a very large offer to Major League Soccer and the Los Angeles Galaxy to bring David Beckham to the Northeast of England.
It didn’t seem remotely possible that it would happen – no matter how determined the Magpies were.
Now the club is saying that the was never any truth in the rumors. Chairman Chris Mort:
There’s no truth Newcastle United are interested in signing David Beckham.
